# `lxc project promote-replica`

Promote project to leader mode for replication

## Synopsis

Description:
Promotes the project to leader mode for replication.

The project must take part in a replication topology: one with no replica mode set requires at least
one replicator, and one in standby mode requires the replica.cluster config key.
This also validates that all replicator targets are in standby mode, and that the cluster the project
replicates with is no longer in leader mode. Use –force to skip these checks.
